Honestly I’m going to change my profile to say a ‘sprinkle of style’ because I cannot help myself from sharing goodies from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. When I was in college I spent one summer working in the designer department of Nordstrom, and that was when I first learned about the Annual Sale. It has always been my favorite of the year, probably because I absolutely love Fall clothes. Even if it’s 90 degrees outside, I can turn basic at the drop of a hat getting excited about leggings, boots, booties, sweaters, scarves and blazers and well, hats.
My focus this year was on versatile staples that I could mix and match with pieces I already own as well as statement items I’ll buy once temperatures actually drops. And you know, it becomes an acceptable time to think about blanket scarves and pumpkin lattés. 🙂 What did you purchase from the Nordstrom Sale, if anything? (Click on pictures to shop!)
This has been a staple in my closet for a couple of years now! It’s really versatile and heavy enough to double as a jacket before it gets really cold outside and you need to wear a coat. The review comments on the smell…honestly it does have a pretty lasting suede scent, but if you can get over it it’s worth it. (Extra perfume that day perhaps…!)
I have so many pairs of black over the knee boots, so I thought I’d change it up with a lighter shade to mix and match with. Marc Fisher is one of my favorite brands for boots, they always last well beyond the Season and are comfortable to boot! 😉
I’ve been ‘getting by’ in the Winter with just my rain boots (embarrassing!) it will be nice to have something warm to slip into on my way to Pilates or commuting to work!
I purchased essentially the same shoe in a mule form last year. This year I finally got on board with the snakeskin trend and figure this is an easy way to trend up a basic outfit of jeans and a sweater or leggings, a tee and a sweater cardigan.
I don’t know what to say here other than I can’t help myself when it comes to a cute seasonal scarf. I think this is legitimately one of the purchases I am most excited about!
A perfect time of the year to stock up on pajamas. I normally wear a tshirt and whatever shorts I can find to bed, but these are great for lounging on weekends or when visiting family.
Tie-waist dresses are my favorite as they come with a built-in ‘belt’ that can hid the tummy – this one can easily be layered with a cardigan, jacket and/or scarf.
I live in these leggings come Fall/Winter, I always buy a new pair when they go on sale, because they rarely do!
I love jackets to lounge around in at home, throw on before a morning workout class in the Fall or layer under my coat on my way to the gym once it gets really chilly outside.
I can’t believe this isn’t already sold out – these are pretty much half off and a pretty assortment of colors to play with!

BP Long Line Cardigan
This is a really great price for a nice staple to have that goes with anything!
In full transparency I did also purchase one of the midi skirts and leopard cardigans, but my order for them was cancelled. I’ll try again tomorrow. Happy Shopping!
