I launched Savage Sentiments in March and knew almost immediately that I need to take a step back and rethink my strategy. I took a LOT of steps back and have spent hours writing, brainstorming and collaborating with friends on waht I want to create and what I hope this space will represent. Sometimes I feel glamorous and whimsical but most often I’m most comfortable in jeans (leggings) and a tee at home, making pasta and drinking wine. Other times I’m anxious to open our doors and entertain, whether it’s just another couple for dinner and drinks or a full blown party. And I definitely love taking advantage of moments when we don’t have to cook, whether it’s bellying up at the bar at Monteverde down the street or dialing Lou Mahlnati’s for deep dish on Sunday’s.
So I suppose you can expect to find a little of all of that mixed up with some of the tips & hacks I rely on to keep my life streamlined and pulled together. Note – I am RARELY successful at keeping it all together! Last week I partnered with Ashley Biess from Artistrie Co. to develop images to bring my new strategy to life and this shot is one of my absolute favorites, touching on my sentimental side. I’m feeling good about the modified and strategic direction I am planning on heading in, but it will be interesting to see where this journey takes me and how I evolve along with it. My ultimate passions, entertaining in and out of the home, exploring my neighborhood, other cities and even other countries and the food, wine, drinks & culture that come along with it will be my ultimate focus. I’d like to also include some of my little tips and tricks and hopefully provide a little extra inspiration to the everyday. If you ever have suggestions, thoughts or feedback please never hesitate to reach out to me! As humbling as this journey is, I like to think that I’ve developed a thick enough skin to adapt with criticism and grow from feedback.
Look forward to connecting with you all throughout the process!
